In addition to her best-selling cookbook, Lisa has her own line of products, Lisa’s Italian Kitchen, available on HSN!
Let’s start with Lisa’s four signature Pasta Sauces!
Each sauce is from her cookbook, “Whatever Happened To Sunday Dinner?”, making it quick and simple for you to have the pasta course ready to go at your Sunday Dinner table!
Lisa’s Italian Kitchen Classic Tomato Sauce
This sauce is the heart and soul of Lisa’s Italian Kitchen and is made only with Imported San Marzano tomatoes from the Naples region of Italy.
Considered the best sauce tomato in the world – and the only tomato used in Italy to make tomato sauce – you will only find Imported San Marzano tomatoes in all of Lisa’s Sauces. She refuses to use anything else! The skin on the San Marzano tomato is very thin, the tomato has fewer seeds and its unique sweet taste makes a velvety sauce with very low acidity.
Having lived in Italy for so many years of her life, Lisa knows authentic Italian Tomato Sauce and in her Classic Tomato Sauce you will find very few ingredients: San Marzano tomatoes, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and fresh herbs and spices. And as with every true Italian cook, a teaspoon of sugar is added to pull all the flavors together and eliminate any acidity. Delizioso!!
Lisa’s Italian Kitchen Three Meat Neapolitan Red Sauce
This is the King of all Red Sauces and is Lisa’s Signature Sauce.
Handed down to her from her Neapolitan Grandmother, you have never had a sauce so thick, so rich and so decadent. In true Neapolitan tradition, Lisa begins her meat sauce with three meats: ground sirloin, ground Italian pork and ground veal, each one contributing significant characteristics to this sauce. The meats are sautéed in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, then Lisa adds green pepper, garlic and a variety of fresh herbs. Delicious in her Real Italian Lasagne, perfect on any cut of pasta, you can never have enough of the King of Sauces!
Lisa’s Italian Kitchen Vegetable Primavera
Vegetable Primavera is a sauce that is near and dear to Lisa’s heart. While living in Tuscany for many years, where she raised her three children, Lisa wanted her children to eat more vegetables! So she came up with the idea of sautéing garlic, onions, carrots and celery until soft and then pureeing them with San Marzano tomatoes and fresh herbs. The result is an all natural, unique, delicious way to savor your vegetables in an earthy, rich sauce.
Lisa’s Italian Kitchen Creamy Vodka Sauce
The art of combining cream sauces and tomato sauces is native to Tuscany, where Lisa lived for many years. There she learned this delicate balance and created her Creamy Vodka Sauce. A perfect balance of butter and cream, mixed with Imported San Marzano Tomatoes, this all natural sauce gets a kick from the Vodka and crushed red pepper flakes. Don’t save this just for your pasta, it is wonderful on a chicken breast or over vegetables!
